The Duke of Sussex situated in Waterloo serves simple food that harks back to the days when the British Pub first came. It is inspired by the Alehouses & Taverns and the open fire cooking that were used at that time. The best fresh seasonal British produce is used, through their carefully curated list of suppliers. You can join us for a bite to eat from Monday – Friday all day from midday, Saturday brunch from 11am and Sunday for our roasting joints from the spit from midday. We have a wonderful range of beers, a delicious and thoughtfully curated collection of wines, as well as seasonal cocktails perfect for our large outside beer garden. There is a large function room available upstairs for booking for family gatherings, parties and business meetings.
Black Horse was established in 1893 and Hippo Inns has reinstated the pubs original name. The pub has been refurbished in a contemporary style whilst still keeping it cosy and casual so those only wanting a drink and those wanting to get stuck in for a delicious meal both feel at home. Only a 5-minute walk from Norbiton station the pub comprises of a large open bar, a raised dining area, a games room with foosball, darts and pinball machines and a beautifully spacious beer garden. Beaver Lodge has arrived in Chelsea, a cabin bar and dance saloon based on the winter cowboy log cabins found in places such as Jackson Hole in America. This is the 7th project from Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling, founders of The Inception Group, who existing venues are loved for their innovative and entertaining themes. Last Spring a secret was unearthed in Soho, previously hidden deep beneath the trudge of unwitting feet. Brought to the West End by the award-winning Inception Group, late night bar, “Cahoots”, transports guests back in time, to post-war 1940s and to a disused underground tube station featuring drinking, dancing and sing-a-longs around an old piano. Inspired by true events that occurred in post-war Britain, Inception Group founders, Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling, decided to bring back to life Soho’s illicit and nocturnal escapades from the era.
Mr Fogg’s launched in Mayfair last summer and is modeled on the very Mayfair house in which Jules Verne’s famous adventurer from his celebrated novel Around the World in 80 Days, Phileas Fogg lived. Mr Fogg’s is refined but at the same time truly off-the-wall, breathing liveliness and fun into the West End, where visitors encounter all the wonders of the world without setting foot outside of London. The walls are adorned with everything from stuffed Indian tigers and crocodiles to ornaments and annotated maps collected on Phileas’ travels. An open fireplace welcomes any weary traveller to its hearth and guests can gather around the piano for regular sing alongs.

The streets of London may not be paved with gold, but this winter a real gem of a tavern has arrived in the heart of the West End. Based on the adventures of Jules Verne’s fictional explorer, Phileas Fogg, Mr Fogg’s Tavern has an ‘upstairs downstairs’ theatrical theme with a Victorian pub on the ground floor and a refined gin parlour and salon upstairs. The sister venue to award-winning Mayfair bar, Mr Fogg’s, the tavern is the eighth project from Charlie Gilkes’ and Duncan Stirling’s Inception Group, whose venues are well loved for their conceptual themes.

Maggie’s is named after 1980s Prime-Minister-turned-icon Maggie Thatcher, club-goers can hear her famous speeches playing in the loos, while Thatcher memorabilia vies for space on the walls along with other iconic 80s images and paraphernalia from A Team action men to A-Ha platinum discs. The music is a mixture of classics from the 1980s, and stars from the era play regular DJ sets while guests enjoy drinks ranging from Pina Coladas and Daiquiris to the unforgettable Babycham. Maggie’s is owned and operated by The Inception Group whose founders Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling have also created 80’s themed nightclub, Maggie’s, Bunga Bunga, an Englishman’s Italian, Bar, Pizzeria and Karaoke venue, Bart’s, Mr Fogg’s, Cahoots, Cocobananas, Beaver Lodge and Mr Fogg’s Tavern.
Barts is commonly credited with putting the American speakeasy trend firmly on the map in London, being one of the first of its kind to open over the pond.
The story behind Barts is based on the actual hidden bars of the prohibition era and the fact that many gangsters operated secret stills out of actual apartments.
Bootleggers have created an eclectic ‘fake’ home belonging to the fictitious character, Uncle Barts, a quintessentially British gent who provides the perfect alibi for all the comings and goings to the address.

Set over two floors, the nightclub is a celebration of all things Brazilian, with a décor evoking the vibrant beach shacks found throughout the country. Design features include vintage surfboards, palm trees, distressed plantation shutters, and a reproduction of Rio’s iconic Christ the Redeemer Statue. Guests can unwind in the upstairs caipirinha bar, which offers the perfect holiday soundtrack and atmosphere.
The all day fast casual dining concept which opened in summer 2016, has made it easier than ever for consumers to achieve a nutritionally balanced lifestyle in London. The vibrant interiors of Squirrel reflect the personality of the brand. Part of the new renaissance in English Wine, Nutbourne is a family run boutique wine producer making still and sparkling wines in the heart of West Sussex, and is a part of new drinks trend seeing restaurants owning their own vineyards. From May, the Gladwin brothers who brought London The Shed and Rabbit restaurant will be opening up their award-winning family run vineyards to the general public. The vineyard will be open to the public for the very first time for tastings and will allow customers to see how the grape goes from the vine, to the bottle and finally to tables of The Shed and Rabbit. Vines were first planted at Nutbourne in 1980 by one of the early pioneers of wine grape growing in this country. Since 1991 it has been owned and managed by the Gladwin family. The vineyard has developed and expanded as English wines have come of age and they now grow seven different varieties of grape. Nutbourne is considered one of the premier wine producers in the South East of England, offering a range of estate grown still and sparkling wines which can compete anywhere in the World.
Ice & Slice is a new project by the talented team behind Shot Espresso, the café and aperitif bar near Fulham Broadway. Their gelato is made daily in view of customers, combining premium ingredients like Yeo Valley organic milk and double cream, hazelnuts from Piedmont and Sicilian pistachios roasted to order, and whole fruit. Ice & Slice’s traditional Italian gelato is made and pasteurized daily in very small batches (four liters) with no added colour, artificial flavours or preservatives and then stored in covered wells (“nel pozzo”) for immediate consumption. By contrast, commercially produced ice cream is usually produced in bulk, with modern additives, and then stored, frozen, for long periods of time. It is lower in sugar, fat and calories than ice cream. Yet somehow, gelato is denser, tastes richer and creamier and delivers more intense flavour.

This autumn a new destination venue will breathe life into the heart of London’s financial district. Zebrano in the City will offer guests fine dining in sumptuous and sophisticated surroundings created by an award-winning designer. Opening in the shadow of the Gherkin building, Zebrano in the City is a project born out of pure passion for food and drink between, two long standing friends, Cevat Riza, the founder of Seymour-Valentine Coffee, former Head of Hospitality for JP Morgan, Don Cameron. Pauline Crossman, a partner in an accountancy practice who joined the business in 2013 as their Finance Director is also one of the main shareholders in the project.
This winter acclaimed Indian chef, Abdul Yaseen brings inspired modern Indian cuisine to the City. After over a decade spent at the iconic Cinnamon Club and Cinnamon Kitchen, this will be Abdul’s first solo project and will feature a sharing dining experience inspired by the banquets of the Indian Royal Court in a vibrant yet relaxed setting.
Set over 5,500 square feet, Darbaar will house a 220-cover restaurant and bar, including an interactive grill seating area, 20-cover private dining room and a bespoke chef’s table for up to 10 people. Darbaar’s cuisine will take its inspiration from the many diverse regions of India and the cooking with traditional clay ovens and large charcoal Robata grill on display will lend a sense of theatre to the restaurant.

Bompas & Parr’s Alcoholic Architecture arrived in Borough Market last Summer, featuring a walk-in cloud of breathable cocktail. The installation is the world’s first alcoholic weather system for your tongue where meteorology and mixology collide. Set in a Victorian building that was once the original home and offices of The Trustees of Borough Market, the bar takes over the basement – itself a former banana store for unripe fruit arriving from the West Indies – and sources many ingredients for its drinks list from Borough Market itself.
Taking place on the roof of one of West London’s most iconic buildings this summer is Storeys – a pop-up food experience from event production company Afternoon Delight LDN.
Launching on 31 July, Storeys can be found on top of the former BBC Car Park at Television Centre in White City. A summer terrace hotspot, Storeys will feature striking artwork, some of the UK’s best street food traders and killer cocktails in a vibrant, urban setting. Spread over two levels and spanning an impressive 24,000 square feet, Storeys will offer sweeping panoramic views of west London from Friday to Sunday.
Foodies can choose from a rotating line-up of dynamic street food traders, including French-American fusion wizards Le Bun, White Men Can’t Jerk (Carribean street food with a twist), Crabbieshack (soft-shell Folkestone crab burgers) Randy’s Wing Bar (finger-licking buffalo wings and homemade hot sauce), En Brochette (a skewered alternative to carb-heavy street food), Aji Ceviche (fresh Peruvian ceviche and anticuchos)and more yet to be announced.

Exhibitor, Lyes & Jones was established in 2012 by Antonia Bowen-Jones and Tim Lyes.
It is their defining belief that collecting art is a long-term lifestyle passion, facilitating an involvement with innovation and creativity.
Antonia has been involved in the arts world her whole life; as a student, an artist, a curator, and a gallerist.
She was introduced to Tim Lyes, an international commodity trader and keen collector of contemporary art, by a London art critic in 2005 and they decided in 2012 to bring their respective skills together to create Lyes & Jones.
In the last year alone KK has worked with them on two fascinating exhibitons.
