Burns Night Celebrations
This Friday, London gets ready to party the Rabbie Burns way. Sound the bagpipes, it’s Burns Night! There’s a whole host of events twirl your kilt at and supper clubs to stuff your selves silly until your Braveheart’s content. But don’t get your haggis in a twist, we’ve rounded up the ones that matter. Aye pally, go fourth and show some love for the Highlands.
Nine Lives Jerking Haggis
For something special this Burns Night Nine Lives have partnered with the world’s most awarded single malt whisky, Glenfiddich 21 year, to create their bespoke cocktail pairing experience. For one night only, Nine Lives have been working with Chef Chris Evans-Gordon to create a one-off food paired cocktail menu, taking inspiration from both Scottish and Caribbean roots. Expect expertly crafted serves including The Old Caribbean made with Glenfiddich 21year, lime, sugar, mint and Champagne will be accompanied with dill cured salmon, lime & habanero salsa. Burns Night wouldn’t be complete without an Ode to the Haggis…but this time it will be jerked.
The Little Blue Door's Burns Night Hurrah
Join the flatmates at The Little Blue Door for their Bobby Burns Party on Friday 25th January in celebration of Burns Night. Turning their flat into a celebration of all things, well… Scottish, the flatmates have joined forces with London’s favourite Scottish restaurant, Mac & Wild and Islay legends Port Charlotte Whisky and The Botanist Gin for a right old Highland hurrah fit for Rabbie Burns himself.
The Botanist x Cub
Visit Mr Lyan’s Hoxton venue Cub on Burns Night, where Progressive Hebridean Distillers (PHD) will be showcasing their Port Charlotte Whisky and The Botanist Gin for a modern Burns Night supper. Celebrating the best of modern Scotland, Craig Grozier, in-house chef for the PHD distillery and founder of the innovative dining concept Fallachan in Glasgow, will be taking the reins of the Cub kitchen, working with the team to develop a Burns-inspired 10 course set menu of 5 dishes and 5 drinks.
Mac & Wild's Highland Fling
In celebration of Scotland’s most famous poet, Robert Burns, Scottish champions Mac & Wild will mark the annual tradition of Burns Night with not just one night of shenanigans, but a whole week of Burns inspired dishes and events. Both Mac & Wild Fitzrovia and Mac & Wild Devonshire Square are on hand to celebrate the life and works of one of Scotland’s most renowned national treasures. On the menu all week will be a selection of Burns specials including Haggis Neeps and Tatties Burger.
Mr Fogg's Bagpipes Bonanza
In celebration of Scottish great, Robbie Burns, Mr Fogg’s will host a Burns Night celebration in his Mayfair Residence on Friday 25th January 2018. Following the success of last year’s Highland hurrah, guests are invited to get kilted up this Burns Night as Phileas and his household staff host a traditional Scottish soiree at Mr Fogg’s Residence, where guests will be welcomed by the sounds of live bagpipers, poetry recitals and of course, whisky.
